PBC has a long history of providing world class conservation skills and materials to south east Australia’s rural and regional heritage buildings. In an attempt to improve the industry standard of conservation works, in recent years, our focus has broadened  to supporting general builders, tradespeople, owners and professionals with the skills and materials to produce first class results. Our operations fall into three main areas:

PBC, formerly Period Restoration Services, has been involved exclusively in building conservation projects for clients such as the National Trust and Heritage Victoria, since 1996. PBC concentrates on buildings with high heritage significance, and where the client has high conservation standards.

We make available specialist services to ensure that heritage buildings can be appropriately maintained and or adapted by the general building industry by drawing in the critical specialist services on a needs basis. Such services include rising damp treatment, salt damp desalination, conservation joinery repairs and reproduction, solid plastering repairs and reproductions, leadwork repairs etc etc.

PBC has a history of undertaking conservation works in places from lighthouses to high country huts to outback grain stores. Some are only accessible by helicopter, some just very distant from major population centres. Either way the PBC team can provide a complete package of in house skills or just some specialist remedial services, accessing your project by our fleet of trucks on road and/or by our Company aircraft or chartered helicopter.
